Looking For Niches Within the Fashion Industry

There are always niches to exploit in the fashion industry. For example, plus size lingerie became hugely (pun intended) successful because prior to this, the larger lady simply couldn't buy any lingerie.
The key is to NOT try to copy other fashion boutique shops, but think outside the box and also do a lot of research - ask people in the high street what they're shopping for, what they'd like to see in shops that aren't already there. You might be surprised by the feedback you get.
Being in a niche means you have less competition so you have much more "room" to control your pricing. You're not caught in a price war where there's the inevitable race to the bottom in terms of profit.
Also being in a niche means you're more likely to get loyal customers - people who rely on your products because you're one of only a few selling them.
