The Gifts I Give Have Meaning

Personally, I have always had a sentimental streak. I love to buy friends and family gifts that have some meaning. For my daughter's birthday I made a scrapbook of the pictures and mementos we got on our Alaskan cruise. Using my jewellery making supplies, I've made lockets for other members of my family too, with special photos of loved ones. My mother does genealogy and has gathered a lot of photos and documents from her family's past. For Christmas last year I took some of the more special items and made copies of them and mounted them in a shadow box so she could display them. I have a friend who loves Starbucks, but can't afford to enjoy them very often - for her a Starbucks gift certificate that allows her to indulge once in a while. For another an Amazon gift certificate so they can purchase books for their e-reader. I can't afford to buy expensive gifts for my friends and family, so I try to put a lot of thought into them.
